1. I teach Honors Chemistry and AP chemistry 2. My largest classes are 1st period AP Chemistry and 7th period Honors chemistry, both have 37 students. 3. My avg class size last year was around 25. This year is about 30 4. This year some labs will be split in two sections, to allow students to work safely in the lab. 5. I have all the equipment and material needed for the class. 6. Teaching a larger class becomes a problem because you might not have the time to attend to all the students in need of help. Also in some classes discipline could suffer. 7, I really do not see any advantages to larger classes. 8. I dont think it affects my ability to teach as much as being able to spend individual time with students needing extra help. It slows down the teaching of new material because you have to repeat it for those having problems. 9. Gabriela Lins, Eduardo Keane, Ian Ergui, these are some students in my large classes. Carlos R.
